Grains

Grains are the edible seeds of certain grasses, commonly known as cereals, and include staples like wheat, rice, and corn, as well as others like barley, oats, millet, and sorghum.

Each grain (or kernel) consists of three parts:
  • Bran: The hard outer layer, rich in fiber, vitamins, and minerals.
  • Germ: The embryo, containing vitamins, healthy fats, and other nutrients.
  • Endosperm: The starchy part, providing energy.
